Dr. Alison Buttenheim discusses NASEM’s consensus report on behavioral economics and policy impact on November 16.

A new Built Environment Assessment Training (BEAT) has been updated by the People, Health, and Place Unit of the Washington University in St. Louis Prevention Research. Originally developed at the University of Pennsylvania Center for Health Behavior Research and the UPenn Prevention Research, the course is designed for planning and evaluating changes to the built environment for health and wellbeing. 

Systematic review examines the use and adaptations of measures  developed to assess the consumer food environment in stores and restaurants and what can be learned from published studies using NEMS tools.

Impact of Real-Time Incentives on Fruit and Vegetable Purchases and Diet was chosen as one of the top ten studies in Penn Medicine's 8th Annual Health Equity Initiative Awards.

 

 

 

The Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Informatics held its annual Research Day at the University of Pennsylvania, Perelman School of Medicine on March 29, 2023.

 

 

A great opportunity for community organizations that presented posters at CDRD to gain technical assistance in developing their CDRD proposal.

 

Community-Driven Research Day (CDRD) is a program that encourages collaboration between researchers and community-based organizations (CBOs)/community groups that have research questions they are interested in answering.

The Community Engagement and Research Core (CEAR) and Penn Center for Public Health (formally Center for Public Health Initiatives, CPHI) at the University of Pennsylvania have awarded pilot grant funding for 2022-2023. Two projects were selected to receive funding.

Register for this public release webinar highlighting key takeaways from a new report on sunscreens. The report will also be available for download on August 9.

The Pool Cool program was conducted in hundreds of centers and pools across the United States when the research was under way. Most recently, we learned about The University of Kansas Cancer Center sponsoring the Pool Cool skin cancer prevention program at many pools in Kansas.
